Why is there always a white pencil crayon/felt/marker in every box if it's never used?

I’ve never personally seen white markers (well, I’ve seen gel ones, but they’re great for black paper) and white crayons and colored pencils are great for numerous things. White crayons are perfect for decorating easter eggs, making trick pictures on paper, and using to blend other colors.

Just have to know how to use them and be creative.

People do use white crayons, pencils, markers, etc… You may not use that particular color, but that doesn’t mean others don’t.

Many people use the white to draw on black paper, since it shows up best on black. Also, when drawing… the white pencil or crayon can be used to draw over a darker color to add light. Just like black can be used to add shade.
