When tips of leaves are drying, does it need more water?

I have an indoor lily plant, barely blooming, white. The leaves are drying toward the ends. Am I watering it too much or too little. It has partial sunlight.

Answer #1

Under-watering typically causes wilting in bright sunlight. Dying tips could mean any of a dozen things, including over-watering. Usually plant owners kill their plants with too much water not too little. Dig 1/2” under the surface of the soil to see if it’s moist. When it dries that deep then it’s time to water. Other than that look up how to take care of lilies in general. Trying to figure out specific symptoms mostly becomes a guessing game since so many problems have similar symptoms.

Answer #2

Check how dry the soil is. Usually any plant that has the tip of leaves dying is not getting enough water.
