Answer #1

OK doubt it that’s only if parents press charges

Answer #2

Fine…and, per reading a bit, there is a “morality law” that could still land him a year in jail…given that you CAN’T have gone to the same school (the age difference) it then depends on how you two met, had a relationship, etc, etc.

Like I said: more than likely, he’ll get a dishonorable discharge and a year of jail time…not 3-5 like I said earlier, completely my bad.

Answer #3

I live in Washington state gig harbor my zip code us 98329

Answer #4

From what I’ve read…federal law says otherwise :)

Added: look…if he’s OVER 18…and you’re UNDER 18 and NOT married - it’s illegal. If you’re both 16, or both 17…it’s legal.

Buy a clue…also, I looked up where you live, based on your IP address…you’re not in Washington :) And yes, I looked up the laws for where you’re using our site from.

Answer #5

The only way a child can be taken away is if he/she is neglected or the environment he/she is living in isn’t suitable. You say you don’t have a job? Then I wouldn’t worry because you could look after the baby while your boyfriend is at work.

Answer #6

In my state 16 is legal

Answer #7

So the military won’t do anything

Answer #8

In theory…you’re not married, he gets dishonorable discharge, arrested and convicted of statuory rape.

WTF are your parents doing letting you date a 22 year old military guy?

Buy a clue. I weep for the future of my country. Even if you’re too young to have a clue…he should understand that he’s looking at 3-5 years jail time, in addition to losing his career.

I guess the upshot is…you won’t lose the baby, as in, they won’t take it away.

Answer #9

The law varies from state to state…what is true in Florida, or Montana is not necessarily true for Washington. I don’t think the state itself would push a statutory charge when the parents and the minor are fine with the situation…

The only red flag I could find on this is that your boyfiend is more than 4 years 11 months older than you are…

As long as you provide a clean, healthy, loving enviroment for your baby, you don’t need to feel threatened.

First of all, if you are under 16 you cannot legally consent. Secondly, you do not have to scream rape for someone to be put in jail. Even if you dont cooperate, because there’s a baby, they can still file charges and use the baby’s DNA to prove that he had sex with you. And if you dont think he can be put in jail, you might want to go talk to some sex offenders. My friend works with sex offenders. Some of them are there because they were 16 and the girl was 15. Or they were both under the age of 16, but one was a few months older. Or the girl was under 18 and the guy was over 21. Just because nothing happened in your situation does not mean nothing can happen.
