What to talk to the kids about??? help!

I am involved in the Youth Awareness Program through the Moose Lodge that allows teens to give talks to children ages 4-9. You have to come up with something that will help the children… like a life lesson or something. If your talks are the best then you could win a $12,000 - $2,000 scholarship- depending on what place you get. Any ideas on what my “Kid Talks” should be??

well to start off with find out what the kid wants to do when he gets older. for example ask him if he/she has any dreams. explain to them that no matter what they should persue in those dreams and work hard not letting anyone bring them down

another talk you can have is explaing the different kinds of friends to make for example the ones that dont want you to do good in life and do bad things are the ones not to hang out with

hope this helps

umm..I have a 3 year old and I know that one day he will come up to me and want advice… and I cant wait :-)))

but for my advice to you…the kids that are 6-9..have examples of what other people are doing..like people are on TV..Brittney..Lindsey ect..and from tthat point, you can say whatever you feels in your heart and just let it out. You dont have to experience it first to know first…ask them who their aspiration and who they look up to…basketball players..rappers etc..than you twist that around and comapre the “not so good people” to the good people :-) and for the 4 and 5..ifeelcrazy123 have a good point :-) I think I make that clear enough..hehe

I have a suggestion,

how about reading fairytales and mythological tales, there are sometimes some good lifelessons in then e.g. the tortoise and the hare, maybe you could get some inspiration from them and then maybe in your talk modernize them and include a life lesson.
