What is the law about dogs in cars?

We have a small maltese dog, she is excellent in the car, doesn’t bark at all, just sits on the passenger’s lap and goes to sleep.

She does have a dog-seatbelt, but it takes ages to get her in it.

What is the law about having a dog in your car? Also, what is the law about big dogs in your car? Like, can big dogs sit in the passenger seat?

I’m sure laws would only state wide…so what is legal where you are might not be somewhere else. However, I’ve never heard of ANY laws concerning where you dog sits, as long as your vision isn’t impaired.

I think that as long as they’re not in the driver’s face, like you can still see & stuff, that it’s perfectly fine to have them.
