What is more efficient: automatic or manual?

As a manual driver, I’ve heard manual is more efficient due to its mechanical nature being more simple than an auto, and that you control the RPM’s. What say you?

Depends on the year and type of vehicle. Also how you drive. A lot of the new automatic vehicles have paddle shifters on the sterring wheel which is actually more efficent then a Manual. The new Chevry Camaro for example has better MPG and 0-60 and quarter mile times in the Automatic.
