What helps get rid of the pain for spacers?!?
Ok.I got the spacers in at yesterday around 5 and they didnt really hurt.but now I cant even eat they hurt so bad!! What is the purpose of theese and what happens after the dentist takes them on?

They need to make room to fit the bands over your back teeth, thats why they put spacers on you. I had em last fall. Little light blue rubber band things. Sometimes they use metal springy things. I had one of those too, lol! The day you get your braces or expander or whatever there doing is when it will stop hurting. Take tylenol and deal. If they fall out call your guy. Otherwise you will go thru the same thing all over again. Good luck! Braces are kinda cool! I like mine
The only use for spacers that I know of is preparing your teeth for braces. They space your teeth out enough to put the braces on and get your teeth where they need to be. I had braces when I was younger and I know how painful they are :( The pain will subside in a few days, but in the meantime use Tylenol or Advil.
