What class do I need 2 take in high school to become a Vet?
Im 13(I’ll turn 14 in April) and in the 8th grade and will be going to Dreher High school in South Carolina.And I want to become a veterinarin(SP) for animals mainly pets.And I talk to my dad about what class I NEED to take like:Biology,Chemistry,Algebra I & II.But does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?
you dont need to take anything in high school just college but it would be a good idea to do somthing like volenteer at a veternary clinic for your senior project
you should also take extra science classes like anatomy,physics,etc. and talk to someone at your school and they can recommend things
My friend is a vet; in high school and college he took science and biology classes. Some of his classmates took agricultural classes and joined FFA. (Future Farmers of America) The classes he took put him ahead of the other students accademically, but joining FFA really helped people land scholorships ($$$ is important) and put them in direct contact with vets around the whole country. You can help at a vets office after school or help feed animals at your local shelter. Either one will give you a good referance for vet school and you will need people to write letters of referance for scholorships. Start now to get ahead of your future classmates.
