What are some christian reasons for going to public school?

‘Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever’ (1 Peter 4:10-11).

Perhaps your gift is to administer G-d’s grace to others and you can do that better when you are around others.

BUT…everything is a double-edged sword…your father could say…

‘Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. ‘Honor your father and mother’—which is the first commandment with a promise—‘that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth’ (Ephesians 6:1-3).

Jesus was obedient to His parents

‘Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart’ (Luke 2:51).

Flee the evil desires of youth

‘Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart’ (2 Timothy 2:22).

I see the only reason that he might buy is that you are not as well educated at home and if the classes at the school are advanced and will give you a leg up. Though most homeschooled children that I know are quite well educated.

I do not agree with homeschooling…I believe a stable home life, a loving family and exposure to social settings are part of a well-rounded person.
