Christian Schools

I am about to enroll to a Christian school, in Virginia, Liberty U. I just want to know how a typical chrisitan school is? Hey it was either Liberty University or Hofstra University here in New York…

well to be honest you may not like it at least for the first yr because in christian schools their very strict when it comes to uniiform and most of all work. I go to an all girl christian high-school and the work that is given is hard as hell and the uniform sux :/ you even have to wear theses old fashioned looking shoes because they dont allowed you to wear regular sneakers or shoes to and from school. but I wanted to ask are you going to a co-ed 1? if you are it might not be so bad then but like I said before the work is pretty challenging because its mostly college-prep work given in christian school and of course the uniform code stinks because your given spring and winter uniform when told unfortunately. first yr in a christian school will take some time getting use to.

If you are an evangelical christian with fundamentalist leanings, I think it will be a great match for you. If you aren’t then it might be quite an adjustment. I have a close friend attending Liberty for his phd in theology. He received a scholarship offer that he could not refuse. He is not an evangelical or fundamentalist but believes strongly in the christian faith. He had a hard time adjusting… Within the evangelical christian world a degree from Liberty is fine.

I would have selected Hofstra. It has an excellent reputation, is nonsectarian, and very respected when selecting a graduate program.

I went to a Christian school in Kentucky. I was in elementary though…so you have all your classes.. Math,English, Science, history,etc… On Wednesdays we always had church.

So basically, you learn and you also learn about God and stuff… that’s about it. You also have God songs, you have to pray often etc..
