Will I continue to lose weight by doing this?

Recently, I haven’t been eating lunch and limiting my food allowances, I’ve been cutting meals down big time. (I eat maybe half of what I used to) and I’ve lost four kilos. The past two days I’ve been eating Lunch, but it has been relatively healthy. I’ve also gone on what I would call a binge, all the food has been healthy but I’ve been eating HEAPS. Last night I felt so bad that I purged & cut etc. This morning I spat out half of my breakfast (which was a banana) because I’m scared of gaining. But then by lunch I had a BIG bowl of cheerios and another banana. I know my weight is considered healthy for My height and age, but I dont want the weight I used to be, which was also considered healthy but I felt so… big.

Yesterday I ate: Yoghurt Anzac Cookie Egg Role Milkshake Jam&Butter sandwich A weet bik (The singular XDD)

Today I’ve Eaten: 2 Bananas Bowl of cheerios.

I’m Currently hovering between 47 - 48 kilos (Well im probably like, 3272634 now because Im too scared to check my weight), and I used to be 51. My height is 159 cm and my BMI is 18.8

Does this mean I will gain any weight? Im scared to look on the scales in case I have… what will happen to me if I keep eating like this?

You’re weight is perfectly fine. You should tell a doctor immediately about your binging if you’re worried. I had to go to one yesterday because I have a binge eating disorder.

Thanks for the advice, I appretiate the reply (also @ Sensei).

I will agree that I have cut down my food to an unhealthy level, but like all other women/girls these days, when you step on the scales and see you’re lighter you feel so much better.

Why I’m Obsessed with my weight? I have no idea. I just am now, I cant help it. I always look in the mirror and see this fat person staring back at me.

If I eat normally, I feel like crap all the time, I feel like “Oh you fat cow, how could you put all that crap in your body”, which leads to me snapping at everyone around me.

But then, when I dont eat, there is a lack of nutrition. Also causing me to snap. Lack of nutrition also causes me to BINGE.

Last time I took out the whole fridge.

I just dont know what to do anymore.

Your “sudden” cravings are TOTALLY NATURAL. I can say this because it’s happened to me too. Whenever someone tries to lose weight by cutting down their calorie intake too much, it usually works for the first couple of days/weeks. But it almost always rebounds, and you end up getting the weight all back, and possible more. The thing is, limiting yourself all the time can drive you nuts!

I’ve tried it before: eating a little for a couple of days/weeks, but then I start to binge eat again and give up altogether. Purging is never good for you. If you feel that your binge eating is way out of control, then consult your doctor immediately. Allow yourself to eat freely every once in awhile. It’ll make your dieting a lot more easier =]

Hello…Try and eat as much fresh fruit & vegetables as you can & drink lots of water…also try and exercise 20 to 30 mins each day & be active. A good diet actually asks you to eat more, like 6 meals a day, which raises your metabolism helping to burn fat, etc. Don’t stress too much about your weight because your still growing!!! And bound to put it on, it’s natural. Maybe reduce the amount of butter you have on your sandwiches, use a low fat milk, etc. Just don’t pigout on take-aways or junk foods and you’ll be fine girl :)

ganjamasta42 that’s quite uncalled for.

Answer #6

Belinda, you’re smarter than that. You binged because you cut down your food intake to what I assume an unhealthy level. If you don’t want to keep having periodic binge sessions… start eating normally. You already know your BMI is healthy and you are far from being fat, so why are you so obsessed with your weight?

I would recommend exercising for at least 40 minutes a day because that’s what everyone should do, but eating less than you should is not the way to go.
