Under arm lump

Hello, My brother has removed his thyroid recently about 2 months ago due to thyroid cancer. He went through his Iodine treatment and now he has under arm lump on his left hand very red and very very painful that he is not comfortable to move his arm. I am so worried that it might be cancer? What would you think or suggest? He will go to see his doctor soon, but I am so worried and want some information till then. Thanks

do you have any cats??? if he got a cat scratch it would be cat scrath fever. or a clogged sweat gland. my bro had cat scratch fever and he couldent moove his arm anywhere. he had to get it removed. it could be these or somthing else. good luck

We can’t professionally diagnose that, but I’d be concerned too.

I think the sooner he sees the doctor, the better. Maybe he should go to the ER if it’s causing him that much discomfort.
