Am I too old to be an unattended minor on a plane?

My mom is a bit overprotective sometimes, me being an only child. This year I flew on an airplane by myself for the first time to Poland. My mom signed me up as an ‘unattended MINOR’. I’m 14 years old! And since I’m tall and quite mature looking I look like I’m 16. It really SUCKS walking in the airport with a bunch of little kids, wearing a blue tag saying MINOR on it. I survived through it somehow, now I’m in Poland, but I’m flying back to Canada next week and the minor thing can’t be cancelled. Can someone tell me how to survive being treated like a 4 year old for 9 and a half hours!?!?

Its doesn’t matter how old you look - you’re still a minor. Just tell them you want to be treated your actual age and not a 4-year-old. There’s not much else you can do, if it was me I’d probley just ignore them. Its all part of being a 14-year-old, you want to be treated as an adult but you aren’t one yet so people will constantly treat you as a kid. We all go through it but you will appreciate it once you are an adult.
