Why the times magazine did choose Obama person of the year?

I mean he has not done anyting important yet. I would prefer to put the police that helped the homeless guy and bought them a pair of boots in that video that everybody watched in youtube. What do you think?

It means nothing. Time has to put someone on the cover each year, it’s expected, it sells magazines. There are heros all over the world that don’t make the cover of Time and many of them should, so the world can see what they unselfishly do for others and never ask for anything in return.
