Stitched up Swollen Leg

My dog got into a fight with another dog and I took him to the vet and they had to stitch up his leg and tongue. The leg isn’t bleeding anymore, but it’s really swollen. I’m not sure if I should keep him laying down or have him get up and exercise it a little bit. I’m also a little worried about the tongue b/c some of the stitches are coming out. Does anyone know if I should keep him laying down or is it okay for him to walk around a little? Thank you!

I would walk him a little…it will be swollen just from the trauma, but walking a little…like taking him out to pee, etc…will be good for it, and keep it from getting stiff…

call your vet tomorrow and ask. in the mean time I think it would be better if you let him laydown
