Is this speech right?

So, I had to write a speech on “Destiny is based on the choices I make in life”

Here’s my speech, and can you also tell me if it sounds right and is it basically nice and what type of tone should I use?

Destiny is based on the choices you make in life

“You must be the change you want to see in the world,” Gandhi once said. As a child you think that you could never make a difference in the world, but you can. It all starts with your thoughts. They soon become words, which becomes your actions, which become your habits, which become your character, which becomes your destiny. They say that our life is defined by the choices that we make, the wrong ones, the good ones, the perfect ones, the brilliant ones, the unexpected ones. We are what our choices make us to be!! That kind of puts too much pressure at times, especially when we know that the same choices are life altering ones for our own self. As students, we are constantly making decisions that shape the rest of our lives. Each choice we make can forever affect our future, our impact on society, and the way others perceive us. “Everyone has their own destiny. Not everyone makes the choice to pursue it. Life is funny, isn’t it! When it’s not moving, we complain. And then when it moves too fast, we still complain! I guess humans are a messy lot. All of us have heard this time and again that life is short, but that’s so true, life is too short!! And that’s why our choices, steer our lives! Steve Jobs once said in his famous Stanford speech, “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life.” Is that the trick? Is that how it’s done…? What if I am making the wrong choice? What happens next..? The irony is that I will never know unless I try the options. I have lived long enough to realize that not trying any of the options might leave me wondering forever for the rest of my life about how it could have been, what could have happened!! If you believe it is a world of choice, you regard your life as a product of your own decisions. If you believe in destiny, you suspect there are greater forces defining your life’s story. Even if we are each part of some great master plan, our unique journey has more personal meaning when we choose it for ourselves. You make many choices every day. Whenever possible, choose the life you want. The ongoing transformation of words to actions, actions to habits, habits to character, and character to destiny, is always following us – it’s up to you to decide if you want to make a difference in this world!

Our destiny is determined by the quality of choices or decisions we make. Every success is predicated on a clear vision. Life is a journey and unless you define your destination, the odds of getting lost are very high. Where are you going? Where would you want to be in the nearest future say 3-5 years from now?? Life can take you to anywhere if you don’t have a destination. Define your goal today and take responsibility for your life. Don’t blame your misfortunes on anybody; you are the architect of your life. Don’t live your life by chance, but rather paint in your mind the future you desire and work towards it. Don’t assume that what will be will be, you have a part to play in determining what you will become tomorrow, rise up and do it before it is too late. “The consequences of today are determined by the actions of the past. To change your future, alter your decisions today.”
