Should I Quit Or Not?

Should I Quit Or Not? I’ve been working at my job now for 2 1/2 years as a receptionist. This job is so stressful and my boss is a REAL BITC*, she never has a good day so she makes mine harder. I’ve put up with it for a long time because its down the street from my house very convient for me while im in school. But today I was offered a better job, it pays just a tad better and so much of a less work load! But its in South Bend indiana, and im from Chicago Heights. its about an hour and a half driving. is it worth it? should I quit and take the new job? please give me some advice.

Answer #1

If the pay is only slightly better, is it worth the half-hour drive? Will the difference in pay make up for the increase in transportation costs? Do the math, and if the numbers work out or come close (there is always the possibility of promotion) then go for it.

Answer #2

My general rule is that when a job stops being fun, it’s time to move on.

If there’s a better job out there that requires a bit of a sacrifice, is it not worth it?

Answer #3

dont be a slave to money. however much you make is how much you spend, we are resilient and predictable that way.

I burnt out staying somewhere too long, just to make an extra 10k in 401k. that I would have lost had I left before 3 years. was soo not worth it. once you have one foot out the door, you are not going to perform as well. and once your proficiency drops, hard to flip a switch even if the next job is WAAY better

my sister was in the position that you’re in now. She quit and started working with one of those home based businesses (which I thought was a fluke) and she actually makes around $2800 a month now! I know its not $10,000 like they say on the tv commercials but its still better than nothing. They give you your own web page the whole deal and someone helps you start two people right off the bat so you start off making about $100 a month. If you want more info just fun mail me on here and I’ll give you the website. It made a believer out of me! lol!

Answer #5

I really dont know thats why im trying to get some advice but I do like how you put that

Answer #6

Depends on if you have another lined up to ‘pay the bills’…Take care !!

Answer #7

I would quit. Any job is better than that boss. It doesnt matter how far. Go for it!
