Should I put my pet down because he gives warning growls?

He’s been so loyal and he’s been apart of my family for a least 7 years. But he’s starting to get old ya’know. :(

Answer #1

7 years old is NOT old. I agree with Utopia…if this is a sudden change in behavior, then the first thing I’d do is get my dog to a Vet…there is a reason for the behavioral change…

Answer #2

How about taking him to a Vet? and letting the Vet examine him? I mean come on…you are just going by his age and a growl…

People should only own stuffed toy animals…

Answer #3

If your pet has a pain, maybe his bones hurt ‘cause he’s old, he’ll growl.

So, put him down if he wants to. ‘cause if you unintentionally hurt him, he might bite you, regardless of loyalty.

Answer #4

Put yourself in his body and try to see what he feels. Do what you feel he would want. I don’t think you want him to suffer any pain later on in life. I know it’s hard but just think about how he feels.

Answer #5

Definitely take him to the vet he might have really hurt himself or be sick :( older dogs sometimes need to take medicine for different aches and pains in their body as they go along
