Should I invite my friend?

I have a small party coming up. It’s nothing much, just dinner out and maybe go shopping at some outlets with friends, and I’ve been wondering whether I should bring a particular friend along.

We were close back in elementary school, but went to seperate high schools. We’re still close, but I don’t know anyone from her school, and she doesn’t know anyone from my school. I want to invite her, but I don’t want to risk her feeling left out and everyone else feeling awkward around her (since everyone knows everyone else). And I obviously can’t stay by her side the whole time! Everyone going to the party will be from my school so she won’t have anyone else to talk to, but me.

Do you think it’s more trouble than it’s worth to bring her along?

It depends on who its trouble for… her or you? If I was you - I would invite her.. and let her knows who is going.. and if you guys are close.. tell her you dont want her to feel uncomfortable… let her decide if she wants to go or not.. She might be perfectly fine with it! Let her make the decision based on how she feels.
