What is a good Shakespearean sonnet to memorize?

Answer #1

Sonnet 130 :) here’s a link: http://funadvice.com/r/brsd488u39i. It’s not that long, so memorizing it wouldn’t be so bad. I actually really like the meaning behind it. Shakespeare kinda mocks cheesy poets that make cliche comparisons about their lovers. There’s something about his writing here that just seems genuine and realistic. Unlike other poets, he’s not saying the girl that he loves is perfect; he’s admitting that she has flaws.
