What do you think about sealing live animals in key chains?

its animal cruelty and needs to be stopped. i personally find it disgusting and in a perfect world, would like to see the people doing it being put in a keychain and left to suffocate and die themselves. hopefully they get a cruel punnishment like they deserve

As a Chinese myself (not China Chinese, ethnic Chinese) I’m very very embarrassed by a lot of the customs we still practice. We’ve come a long way in terms of human rights but generally speaking animal rights are still very much a fringe movement in Asia and has yet to catch on with most people.

Personally I don’t know how they do it, if you asked me to do something like that I might puke.

there is probably some way they keep the animal alive in there since selling a dead animal is pointless and sales arent always gonna be super…

frankly you cant do anything about it, the petition is more a way to make americans believe they are doing something when in fact it only takes in revenue…. i dont remember America having gained power over china lately that allows you the luxury of seeing a petition through O_o

no, i know that, but its incredibly cruel to do that to animals for profit,only to spend a few years in jail or get a fine. rarely do the people who do it learn how and why its so wrong

No to animal cruelty.

Fried scorpions are food to eat. They kill them quickly. These animals are sealed up as the buyer buys them, they live in the sealed keychains for a day or two and die slowly because of lack of oxygen and food. Signing petitions does help, it raises awareness and because of petitions with signatures many laws have been passed and many people doing cruel things have been fined/jailed.

Im with Informer on this one. Petitions and raising awareness helps in the west. Not so much in the east
