What is the quickest/easiest way to learn either German or Russian?

Answer #1

No easy way unless you are ‘hard-wired’ for learning a certain language… I had to live with a Spanish lady to learn the language… the first time I told a (made by myself) joke in Spanish to her she kissed me an said “Now you know my language !!”

I think that is why ‘total’ immersion programs (like the one I manage in Honduras) have so much success- you are not only studying the language, you are living inside the language.

Answer #2

there is this language learning method called DIRECT METHOD, which has been proven the most effective way in learning any second or foreign language. One of the technique used in direct method is start talking, optimize your limited vocabulary. Do not wait until you think you have enough grammar bases. Use any chance to talk. If no counterpart is available, start reading loudly (I mean read with voice) any kind of text wriitten in the language. Mind the meaning. That is one effective way to train your pronunciation. Good Luck

This is the question I’ve been thinking of too anyway (: I’m learning German by myself and also I bought a CD about learning German as well so I know how the pronounciation sounds like.having a relation from someone in German quite helped me too anyway :D

Answer #4

If you’re an American and English is your native language, Russian will take longer since you need to learn the Cyrillic alphabet. But, learning both languages requires that you find a native speaker and practise conversation.

Answer #5

Study it online or if your in school take that language. There is no easy way, things take time, but if your a fast learner, all the better.
