Question about lg cell phone problem

My lg cell phone will text… But I can not when I call or someone calls my phone - I can not hear out of the phone. the other person can hear my voice - but I can not hear theirs… It is blank. please asvise

check you have turned the volume up on your phone if no luck then faulty software or hardware
