Persuading Mum About Piercing!

I have gotten my ears pierced only, but my parents let me do it. Try and think about why your mum doesn’t want to let you do it. Maybe you think you are old enough to get it but maybe your mum can see something that you can’t. Sometimes parents can be too overprotective, but sometimes they really know what it best. I suggest the best thing to do is try and see where she’s coming from, and then sit her down properly and talk to her about it. Show her how mature you are by sitting her down and telling her why you want one and that you feel you are ready to get one, but that you also see where she’s coming from. Tell her you would appreciate it if you could go to a shop together where you can get it done and ask some questions at least. Maybe if your mum sees that you’re emotionally responsible enough to talk it through with her rather than just say “MUM! I want one!” or something, then she will let you.

okk so ii got my belly piierced at 14 for ma biirthday. ii talked to my mom and she saiid no, so ii talked to my dad and he saiid no. ii basiically told them iits just a hole. iif ii decide ii dont want iit, iit can close up. so my dad talked to my mom and ii got iit. now iim tryiing to do that wiith my tongue and liip hehe[:

I have a lip and an eyebrow piercing, I usually consult my dad for nothing but after an argument he said he’d let me get a tattoo, not something I was trippin about but hell he’s taking me to vegas to get it. I wanted to have a better relationship with my dad so I asked him if I could get my tongue pierced too, after arguing I asked him to think about it he said he would. If not I’ll just do it anyway but hell I tried. Point is perssistence. If you really want it and try to compromise with your parents then you will have it. btw, my mom was the one who lets me get all my piercings, I don’t live with my dad.
