Period stops flowing when in water?

I am unable to wear tampons. That doesn’t bother me much, but tomorrow I have my big swim test and if I skip it I will not be able to be a counsellor at the camp!! o.O What do I do? Is it true that when you enter the water, the blood stops flowing? I’m scared! What if I swim and there is going to be a big red trail behind me!?! What do I do!?!?!?!?!?

When ever I enter water my period stops just as I’m in the water…but getting out is a differant story, cause then it starts up again.

Why dont you put underwear on and hop in the tub while your on your period and see if you bleed through them in the water…if you don’t then that will answer your question.

Just make sure you have a towel ready for you once you get out.. or put a panty liner on your bathing suit.

No, that is false. Your period doesn’t stop just because your in water, if that were true I think women would spend a whole week in the water and never come out.

Is there a medical reason you can’t wear tampons or are you just afraid. If it’s not medical, you could always buy the smallest tampon (light flow) and just use it for the swimming test. If you use lubrication to insert it, it will go in very easily with no pain.

If there is a medical reason, talk to your superiors at the camp and tell them what is going on. They will reschedule it for you if they have to I’m sure.
