peer pressure

okay, well my friend pressured me into trying smoking. I knew I wouldn’t like it and I was right. I tried one puff and I was coughing my head off. but I felt that I had to TRY it, to actually know I wouldn’t like it. was it okay that I gave in? was it normal?

Peer pressure is normal. Smoking is bad though and don’t try it again. I took 3 years to find a solution to quit after 12 years of smoking. I feel so free now, but I still want one of those nasty sticks even now over 2 years later.

Peers can really be a bad influence indeed and someone who is your good friend may be hard to say no to. It’s okay to have given in mistakes make you learn BUT if you are ever in doubt or have a bad feeling about something DONT do it. Smoking is very addictive needless to say bad for your health. Its no wonder people call them cancer sticks…although you can have way more problems than just cancer. So please…let that have been your first and last., dont say I wanna try it again to see if I wont cough…one drag is enough to get hooked. Be a good friend and advise your friend too.
