My 6 month old german shep mix won’t stop peeing and pooing on the carpet

persistance is really the only way to break a dog of bathroom habbits. Try using a metal can filled with some other smaller metal objects, coins, whatever. Watch the dog and get to know when he’s about to “go” sniffing the floor, like he’s hunting for something and when he gets settled and ready shake the can. Not violently or anything, just enough to startle him so he’ll stop. Then take him where you want him to go and when he does use positive reinforcement:”Good Potty”, “Good Go Potty” ect.

Puppy training is really like people training. You have to be on top of it constantly. And boys are a lot harder to train. At least I think so
