Puppy pee'ing

My 6 month old female westie pees all the time!! She ha just stared going thru the night now but when I come down in the morning she gets soo excited and pees everywhere. Even thou I ignore her. She pees when I put her lead on before I walk her. She wees when I stroke her sometimes.

When will she grow out of it and how can I prevent it?

I love her soo much and shes such a good girl, just the peeing all the time is gettin out of control

my dog used to peewhen he got excited. I dont know how to stop I guss take her out more often. more than likely she had been holding it in and when she gets excited or something she cant hold it in anymore

Most of what you’re talking about is submissive urination for the most part, and hopefully she’ll grow past it. If she’s doing this on a full bladder in the mornings, I’[d crate her at night, and then instead of putting her on a lead, I’d pick her up and carry her out the door (hopefully she won’t pee all over you…full bladder, ya know :) )…

Continue to ignore…maybe forever, or until such time that she grows out of it. I’t’s 100% unproductive to try and correct submissive urination.

we train our pup to pee by taking him to the exact spot out the yard every time (at nights its once every 1 - 2 hours) …when our pup is about to pee, we give him a gentle whisper encouraging him to continue, then once he’s done whoever takes him outside, we shout and get vocal so our pup gets excited because he knows he’s done something right :)

if he does pee inside the house, its better to clean the mess up ASAP otherwise he will be able to sniff his urine and think its ok to pee where he or she wants.
