Why would blood be in someone's stool?

what could be the condition wher one passes out blood together with stool. there is no stomach pain.

Dear kwatu, If there is blood in the stool you must see a doctor. Blood “in” the stool indicates a problem. Blood on the stool while passing could be hemorrhoids. Even conditions such as IBS should never have blood in the stool unless there is a bigger problem. Food will change the colour of stool exspecially if the food is rid in colour. Sue..good luck

IBS - Irritable bowel syndrom. Constipation, new foods will do it to you too.
