How can parents remove liability from their kids?

In the state of Texas, you can legally move out of your parents house at the age of 17, and live on your own. But if you do anything wrong your parents are still responsible for your actions even though you’re not in their house anymore. My question is what can the parents do to not be responsible for the childs actions such as school and legal matters?
