My dog loves to be scratched.

So my dog begs to be scratch. Why do they love to be scratch. I know she dont have and fleas or any bugs on her. She just likes it. But why? Just curious..

I like it when somebody scratches my back…it feels good…that’s why she likes it…

Feels good. :o) She’s getting your attention AND getting an itch scratched. YAY for her! Does she have dry or flakey skin? If so, try giving her a raw egg ever few days, or a use a moisturizing shampoo, that may ease her discomfort. But the honest truth is that she probably just likes it. It’s a dog- they’re simple that way. :o)

Because they have fur all over them and it itches them. Doesn’t your head scratch a lot? And they can’t scratch a lot of places on their bodys.

You should be concerned if she scratches herself a lot… or if her skin looks a bit flakey or dry…

But its probably comforting to them… like its comforting for humans to be hugged… being stroked is comforting for dogs… because it feels like they are being nuzzled by their mother.

Not to mention that it probably feels nice… and your dog is affectionate =] Yayy!

because your scratching a part fo them that they cant scratch and so its refreshing
