Are Monster energy drinks good for you?

Are monster energy drinks good for you?

Answer #1

Goodness sakes.

I never really drank monster till last friday.

the only reason I drank it was because I had an ap exam and I was falling asleep and I was pretty darn desperate.

so I bought the drink and drank it and thought I was still sleepy. so I was basically like FREAK.

but after walking around and stuff I noticed I was feeling more awake after 15 - 20 minutes.

and someone told me that I would CRASH in like an hour.

and I was like FREAK FREAK FREAK…My exam is about 4 hours.

but I didn’t. I was awake. And I did good on my exam.

So. That’s my experience. I only drink it if I need to wake up and im pretty desperate. but drinking it everyday is really bad for you, im not going to lie.

the thing about dying. yeah if you drink like 3 at one time I think you can die. the CRAZY amount of sugar and whatnot makes your body all blah =/ and it messes with your heart pretty bad.

But Im an intern at my hospital and the doctors drink it every freakin day. LOL I work in the giftshops and they just buy one a day and sometimes they alternate with the arizona teas. they tell me its bad but if you drink it 1 every week or two. its all good. everything in moderation.

but yea…I drank one that day and although I was anxious. I realized that…

IT’S JUST A DRINK. =)

No, they are NOT good for you. The only ‘energy drink’ that’s good for you is unsweetened tea. Don’t ruin the health benefits of it by adding artificial sweeteners either.

Answer #3

the answer is no no energy drink is good for you the boys in my class are 10 and they already drink energy drinks and they always miss school because they stay up all night drinking those drinks and getting a F in their grade

Answer #4

my sister loves them, but I would never ever drink one. my advice is that if you want sustaining energy, dont look for it in fake, artificial drinks. just think of the chemicals that youre putting into your body, that were not intended to be there. they not only load toxins in your body, which cause weight gain, cravings, bad habits, addiction, but the energy they give is unnatural. man, I wish I could tell you something else you could have instead to give you the same or more amount of energy in that quick of time that those drinks give, but I cant really think of anything! haha. coffee or dark chocolate covered esspresso beans, I think may be a better alternative. or maybe try acai juice or those delicious Naked juices they sell–maybe on with Acai or loads of B-vitamins(natural energy boosters).

Answer #5

No, energy drinks are not good for you! They are PACKED with large amounts of sugar that make you feel great when you first drink them and soon after, but an hour or two after you are through it feels like you’ve been sedated and need to take a nap. I’m sure you know the feeling. Also, the large quantities of sugar found in energy drinks, such as monster energy drink, when ingested over time cause weight gain, many many health problems and sugar has been shown in many studies to promote cancers in the human body.

So if you want a nice energy boost, stick with hot or iced herbal tea. It has antioxidants which actually fight the cancer cells away from your body!
