Who here has been misunderstood as a slut in high school?

And how did you get through it?

Answer #1

I have, many times. I just stood up for myself, and told everyone the actual truth, and for the people who didn’t believe that, i just ignored it. If they think I lie, their not worth my time :)

Answer #2

Unfortunately after asking to no longer have a friendship with a girl, she began spreading runors of how I was a drug addict, a slut, and god knows what else. How I got through it was lucky events. I moved to a new school due to my Mum’s situation. You either have to ignore the false words, avoid it if you can. It hurts but you’ll get through it! :) Don’t be worried.

Answer #3

I sort of did. and I just had the self confidence to not really care. The people who knew me and I cared about knew better. and I had a series of really scary boyfriends, so no one messed with me lol

Answer #4

High School is tough like that, when a rumor gets started its hard to clear your name. You just sometimes have to be the better person, know who you are and what you are and know that everyone has it wrong. Ignore it basically, you’ll find that you’ll get by just fine if you let it go and it dies out.

Answer #5

I was called a slut in highschool by several groups of people. I generally just ignored it since i was sexually active and i was sleeping with several different people. I’ve always had different views on sex and such though and personally dont believe a girl is a slut just for having protected sex with people who are also single.

Answer #6

Many times this happens..everybody has called me a nasty word and that is one of them..it means they are immature and they have no life..although it hurts you have to try and not take it to heart.
