How to mend a sore back when you have to pick up kids all day?

A friend of mine has put her back out, she’s being treated for it but the treatment is not working as well as it could because she has 2 young kids that she obviously have to be lifted up throughout the day.

Are there any home remedies for sore backs, or can anybody think of anything she could do/ have done to help ease the pain and fix the problem? Any help is much appreciated.

Well, there are some easy exercises that can be done to help strengthen her back and in the long run will help ( you can find em on line, or orthopedic doctors offices have illustrated copies of them to hand out to patients) A product called Bio-Freeze is amazing. It’s a non greasy, odorles ointment that really works. When the back gets sore, it needs a break to rest up but it doesen’t sound like she gets a chance for that. From personal experience, I’d say stay away from the chiropractors !!! They have their place, but those adjustments they do can make a serious problem worse and even cause one. See a “real” doctor. I have two mildly herniated discs,(convinced the chiropractor caused them) and they are ok unless I really over do it and get em flared up again. Then I go and get a cortizone shot that fixes me right up. Massage therepy once in a while really helps too. Best of luck.
