Love/Death Poem

I wrote this love poem and my mom said it’s like a death poem. But I don’t see how. Read it and see if you think if it’s a love or death poem.

You compliment me. I feel like I’m floating. You smile at me. My heart jumps. I can’t help but smiling. I can’t help but laughing. When I’m with you. Before I know it, our time together, is gone.

She’s probably interpreting ‘gone’ as death - where you meant ‘gone’ to mean, after just a meeting or encounter…Merry Christmas !!

I know what you meant…loss of love right…yeah your mom thinks when you said gone…it meant gone forever..like passed away.
