Lost "little one"

I just went for my 1st ultrasound. I’m 9 weeks 2 days and the baby doesn’t have a heartbeat. I’m scheduled for yet another D&C today. This is my 2nd miscarriage this year, my 1st one being New Year’s. I want to have my tubes tied, but my fiance’ wants me to reconsider and try again, I’m afraid to try again and miscarry for a 3rd time. I wish I knew what to do, any advice?

Miscarriage is hard to deal with…even though you’ve only been pregnant for a few weeks, your bond with the being growing inside you is very strong.

I can understand your hesitation to try again - I had 3 miscarriages myself, but then I had 3 healthy babies.

If you really don’t want to go through it again, you can always get your tubes tied, but keep in mind that you’ll forever be wondering what your child could look like, and how old your child could be…I had tubal ligation after my third child 10 years ago, and I still feel resentment that I didn’t have just one more.

It’s a big decision and it should never be made lightly…talk to your doctor, and see what he thinks your options are.
