Laptop randomly shuts off

I just got a new laptop around January its a Dell inspiron..but everytime I use it like at least 3 times a day it will just shut off and there will be lines down the screen or a colorful little box near the left hand corner and the only way to fix it is to shut it down its really fusterating..does anybody else have this problem?? or know why its happining??

Check to see that your video driver is up to date.. Create a log of events(if you know how) and maybe send the information off to Dell..

It also could be some sort of power problem if the computer is not plugged in.

Ehh.. But what do I know?

probably some hardware failure most likely a factory defect but its not good whatever it it…call dell and get it replaced
