Is my pup pregnant?
my puppy is 9 mo. old she was in heat 2 weeks ago. now I notice that her boobs are swollen. Is she pregnant?
I have a chihuahua and she mated for the first time very young like 8 months and she did the same thing. we thought for sure she was pregnant cause her little boobies were pertruding and her belly even got bigger real quick too. in just a few days everything went back to normal. I found out by doing some research that dogs can often have false pregnancys and this is what she was having. 5 months later on her next heat she got pregnant and we are expecting in augest. with the real thing it took a whole month for her to start getting fat.
Did she tie with another dog??? I would say she is old enough to go to the vet and get her spayed, He boobs may be big because she is having a false pregnancy
