No, it is not odd. You can like a song so much it becomes a part of you. Every time you listen to it, not only does it complete you, it also adds something new to your sensation. I have realized that music is one of the stores of memories and the only store of feelings. You need to know that it is not those pieces of music that she actually likes, it’s what they make her remember, feel and even experience.

Your friend wants to be somewhere. Music puts her there. End of story.

Don’t try to take music away from her unless you are ready to offer her something else.

I agree with Midnightdreamer. After all, it’s a matter of time. Be careful though, ‘cause once she quits loving a particular song, she will only fall for another one. So if it’s the way she listens to her songs - not her songs - that you consider annoying, then do not wait for time to solve your problem.

Heartbroken72009, you have just shown me the worst comment ever!!

Blackndblue7, I have been obsessed with Egypt for 21 years :D lolz

I_love_music, instead of getting mad at your best friend, understand her. Instead of speaking up, listen to her. Instead of complaining about her music, sit down and listen. She is DYING to share it with you. We all do things we hate for the sake of our friends.

Keep your head high up Greetings from Egypt! Noblez Chavazelle

its perfectly normal for some one to be interested in broadway music, even obsessive behaviors like you described. just BE HONEST with her and tell her that it can be annoying, and you’d like to listen to something that you’d BOTH like… even if that is lady gaga over and over again. lol. ask her if you can make it work for the both of you, that way it wont hurt her feelings. ALSO, she should be considerate of you, if she just puts in her ipod with out asking you if you’d like to listen to it as well, then you have the right to speak up.

Answer #5

It’s not odd to like music. If you get annoyed from her always listening to it, tell her that she can listen to it a couple times at your house and she can wait until she gets home to do it. If your at her house, ask her polity to atleast turn it down or off. If she be’s mean about it and you saying that, then just leave and if shes at your house, tell her she needs to leave.. Even though kicking her out of your house for it, it doesn’t mean you should keep her there and get a headache because of it.
