Is he sincere?

Okay so there is this guy at work that I am totally in love with but im not sure how he feels about me. my crush and I have a mutual friend at work that talks to us both. She knows that I like him and she tells him everything I say. he asks her everyday what I say about him and he also says well “if she likes me so much how come she doesn’t speak.” he also asks her ,” did she ask about me today?” this kind of back and forth stuff goes on everyday but when he gets around me he acts like he doesnt want to talk to me.

           What is his problem?  are his questions about me sincere?  if not or if so what should I do?
