How to be patient with a sincerely hurt boyfriend?

Okay about my boyfriend.I love him a lot but hes been through hell & back & goes through stuff like everyday & hes always down & I always listen & try to help him get through things but stuff gets tiring you know because most of the time he always talks about how everybody in his life has hurt him & if I say something wrong he thinks im like everybody else & I know he really needs someone to care & love him just to be there for him & which I do I’ve done nothin 2 decieve him 4 the past 5 months but he does care about me he just has a lot of trust issues & he is a really good guy he never has done anything wrong to me he just tells me how much everybody uses him all the time so how do I learn to be patient with him to love & understand him? And please do not say anything regaurding to my age or look down at me about it because im not as immature or think like any other female my age does & it has nothing to do with the question im asking just please give me some good advice
