How do you increase your appetite?

Hello. I used to eat A LOT but I’ve been getting depressed a lot more lately. When I’m depressed I don’t eat. There was one point in time when I’d only eat one really tiny meal a day. This lasted for a few months. Now I’m not depressed as often but lately the thought of food just seems disgusting. How do you increase your appetite?…without taking pills.

dont listen to a word she just said. I used to have that prob. even if you dont want to eat, you have to, it will slow your brain, and your reflexes and it will make you tired if you dont get the protien and sugar needed for your body. even if you dont want to, just eat something. anything. but keep it balanced, fruit is a carb, protien is a meat or nut, and a vegetable is a vegetable. lol. you should have at least one in every meal. to increase your appetite, you need to eat! even if its against your will. just do it. when you dont eat, your body gets used to it. but when you eat every 2 hours, once you hit the 2 hour mark, when you usually eat, your body will remind you of it by making you hungry, or tired, or have a headache because your body is so used to it. trust me, it works. any Qs? comment me. :D

Its hard eating food when you’re body makes anything you think of sound disgusting. Especially when you eat, thats the worst, you begin to get nauseated and food just loses its fun. Thats my problem at least but I’ve found there are some ways to help increase appetite. Although they dont make me eat like a pig I’ve not only gained some weight back but my body looks ridiculous. First off is sleep. You must get enough sleep and wake up at a reasonable time. When you wake up breakfast is a must. That first meal after you get up starts your metabolism for the day. If you dont eat youre dicking yourself over simply because the circadian rhythm that youre body enjoys following is disrupted. Now the third factor that I think makes the most difference is exercise. no matter what the activity its crucial that you exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes daily. You get a ridiculous jumpstart and feel great. Start small and get bigger with your goals and youll get that appetite back. Good luck buddy
