How can I get my parents to let me dye my hair?

I’m in Year 9 and I want to dye my hair black, and get it cut shorter. but my parents won’t let me. My hair is a light brown sorta mousy colour, and its gross. My hair is long, and I’m really fed up with it and want to get it cut shorter, but my mum wont let me because she says its too nice to cut or something. But its not. Its horrible and thick and mousy and I hate it. I really want to dye my hair black, does anyone know what I should do?

Answer #1

youre only 9! wait a year and fully decide whether you WANT this or if its just a “phase” plus black hair on a 9 year old, thats not natural, emo much?

Answer #2

Go dark brown. looks better. i used to have light borwn hair then i dyed it black, yuck man. did NOT suit me now as i look back.

ive dyed my hair billions of colours.

I really don’t think you should.. You will get in deep trouble with your parents. If you listen to them and respect them, then they will think you are mature enough to get it done. That’s probably the only reason why. At age 9, I asked my mom for highlights and she said no. I started like being really good and doing stuff when she asked me, and she let me get them. It’s all about maturity, and appearently kay1234, is not quite mature enough to understand that.
