How do I convince my parents to get a pet for sure???

The thing about getting a dog when you are 16, is that the great majority of this dogs life will be spent as your parent’s responsibility, rather than yours (you’ll be off and running in 2 or 3 years…this dog could live until you’re nearly 30).

Your parents are going to have to “want” a dog, also.

study, and take notes about dog on what they need, what they eat ect. that will convince them , and it works thats how I got a hampster =]

You could make a list of the pros to getting that pet (how it will be a positive thing), and show them that you will take care of it yourself and it won’t be their responsibility…
