I need cheap and easy recipies

My husband works 12 hour shifts and I know tv dinners and cans of food isnt great or healthy anyone know cheap and easy to heat up on lunch breaks?

Answer #1

I used to work 12 hour shifts, those things suck. Here’s what I did sometimes, I used those pre-made bags of salads. It has the lettuce, croutons, and dressing all in one bag, just put the in the fridge and open and mix when ready to eat!

You could make up some cheap kitchen cupboard soup recipes and freeze them in batches. Soup is simple to re-heat so should be good for your husband at work.

Heh heh! I love love love that someone just wrote a recipe for a sandwich. That was…adorable, frankly.

Soup is your most economical way to go. A pot of homemade minestrone or chicken noodle costs about 20 bucks, and lasts for about 15 bowls. Freeze it in tupper/gladware and it’s a grab-n-go meal. Plus, soup really lets you stretch your creativity in the kitchen. Experimenting with finishes alone (balsamic? lime? who knows?) could last through to the next presidency.
