Just curious, but what do you believe? I believe in the strenth of my own body and other living things around us, I also know that religions made humans dependant on a ‘SUMTHING” - to be there to help them making decisions/be there when they are in need/be there when they did something awful to pray for their sins and let them only feel better because they did something stupid like that !!! Where when you dont believe in any religions, you have to be only RESPONSIBLE this time, for your OWN stupid moved!!! Point is: Dont rely on someone to help you out of bad situations, when only YOU are responsible for this!!!

Lastly, if you believe in Heaven and/ or Hell, how is it decided where people end up when they die? Ok already stated that there is no such thing, if you die you end up 6ft under, sorry to say, but that is a fact and the sooner you guys eyes open the easier it would be to accept !!!

With God, that puts us in the same boat as the “bad” people. “Nobody’s perfect,” as the saying goes. If Heaven is supposed to be a perfect place, then how would IMPERFECT beings like us go there, without help frome He who IS PERFECT? Do you believe that you can get into Heaven all by your own strength? Do you even understand youre own disorganised reasoning??? I bet if you ask a Budhist, Judaist, or Hinduist he would have the same feeling about his god!

Also, the only way Christianity’s a “crutch”, As you so bluntly accused it of being, are on the points of having a relationship with God, and entering Heaven. Please, answer the questions I included. Maybe if you are a bit interested to do some research yourself, you would also be able to open your eyes, that is: IF YOUR NOT TO SCARED TO SEE THE TRUTH AND NOT WILLING TO LIVE WITHOUT THE BACKUP OF HEAVEN AND HELL HANGING LIKE A SWORD OVER YOUR HEAD! When you try getting closer to God there is a larger struggle in you than anticipated. You need to pray for strength and wisdom to do right.

Your putting to much faith into something else and relying on this something far too much to sort you out, put this faith in yourself where it belongs because only you have the power to control your destiny, not some “powerful being” :)

Ok…wow…so many differing opinions. First of all, I’m glad you’ve come to trust in Jesus. As ameone here already said, there will be struggles in your faith. You WILL go thru periods of trials. (Just came out of one, myself, actually) Also, think of this: the Gospel in a nutshell: God is Holy. We’re not. God HATES sin, enough to send someone to hell for any sins they commited. Problem is, We’ve ALL sinned, and therefore all hell- bound from birth…EXCEPT, out of His love, He came in the form of man, and took OUR punishment away, so that we may be with God in heaven one day. All we need to do is believe in Him and accept Him as our Savior. God looks on Him, and pardons us. FM me for verses to read from your Bible. And also, it’s NATURAL to backslide! It’s not good, but everyone does! That’s because we’re not perfect. GOD IS PERFECT, however. He will lead you back to Him, you just have to look.

Ladybug, dont feel ashamed at your feelings, a lot of us went through those, grew up in xtian homes, in church every Sunday etc, me to. If only I thought of all this more realistic years and years ago, things would have been much easier. It is true what reo0088 said:

Have faith in your own strenghts as a human being, sadly this is what all religious people lack of or loose! If they only know what they are really capable of they would be amazed and you to! If you ever get the chance or if you didnt already, please watch the movie “the secret” and dont be afraid it is not a evil or satanic movie, it is only a eye opener, it shows you also that some people need religion or something to cling to, muslems, xtians etc. If you want to pm me and I would give you a link where you can watch movie clips to explain much more. After all, Facts is Facts and Fairy tales are Fairy tales and superstition also!

The choice is yours, Christ has paid the price for your salvation, but, it is up to you, what you do with it. He will not make you serve him, nor does he want you to, unless you truly desire to.

I personally wouldn’t trade my salvation for anything on this earth, it is that important to me.

My suggestion is to find a spirit filled church and ask them to pray with you, concerning this very important decision. Also, to get into the bible, and seek God, thru his word, and his spirit, this is spiritual warfare coming against you, and it is designed to steal your faith, if that faith is valuable to you, you will have to fight for it.

Silverwings I can understand that this is your way of thinking, I am NOT in Ladybugs generation, neither in yours, but very close. Please do yourself the favour and visit ex-christian forum site and see how many women of MY age only realise at the age 35+ that there is simply nothing out there, this not only xtians but all other religions. The sooner people can get over this idee that there is someone out there to protect them when they do something out of line and be “protected” the better this world would be! You are the only one responsible for your wrong doings, theres no back up!!! Point is: Dont do bad stuff in the first place, then you wont feel guilty and build your life by being a nice human being!!

Oh yeh BTW “Silent Storm” You still thing god created Eve with Adams Rib??? Carefull what you say hey, cause check all medical evidence first, both male and female has exactly the same rib count, ooohhh how come??? Could it be that the one who told the story, had no clue what so eva about the human body, because they were so uninformed at that times they didnt even know where a human heart or brain was or what exactly there was in a human body!!! Fact Noah didnt know there was Lions in Africa or Polar bears up North, he just lived in his 300km radius and that was all he really knew! How do I know that??? Second, a lot of those links sound familiar…I think I had to go to that site as part of some class…I don’t remember which one…it was like freshman year. Maybe english?? I don’t even need to try out any of the stuff yo’ve said, tho…In my years of highschool, a lot of people I know are atheist/ humanist/ whatever (basically the same thing!) I’ve already heard all that crap about evolution ( they cram it in our ears in biology, how can I NOT know about it?) , and why they don’t believe in God, etc. Really, tho…what would “free” mean to someone with no god? They can never give me anything but wishy- washy CRAP. Perhaps you’ll do better? Also, where does ethics come from if there is no god, if people can control themselves? What are the standards of judgement??? I’ll tell you. The standard of judgement is…the individual. Because, if it were the law, then why do you see ( or rather, why do I see) a lot of atheists BREAK the law? Isn’t that WRONG? They just do things b/c they want to; like using fake IDs or stealing their parent’s stash to sneak drinks, sneaking smokes when under 18, etc. If the individual wants to do something, then the individual usually DOES it. If you’re gonna call me out on being wrong, lemme tell you something. First, I don’t hang with them. these ar some prophesis of jesus, why? read matthew 27:45 the first thing you read is jesus crying out my God my God why have you forsaken me? everyone there thinks he’s asking elijah a prophet from long ago and the people say let the LORD rescue him.
