Why does it hurt when I take a deep breath in?

In my chest, right under my breasts, \i dunno what its called though. But wheni take a breath in, it really hurts (it comes and goes as it pleases). Like really, really hurts! and has been happening a lot in the past 4 days. I asked my mom about it, and she said she got that when she was in high school in gym class. But the thing is, i could be just sitting down, and it will start to hurt. I am under a lot of stress right now… Could that be a reason?

Answer #1

I don’t know if I’m thinking about the same thing but this thing happens to me a lot where I sneeze or stretch wrong or something and it’s like I get a cramp in my lung or something and every time I breathe in I get a stabbing pain in my side. It takes hours to go away. Is it like that or not?

Go to your doctor asap, it could be numerous things. It’s best you get to a doctor so they can tell you exactly what the problem is and find a cure, instead of our guesses that can be completely wrong.
