american accents vary from whatever area you are in. im sure you could hear a sample online and start trying to speak like that but it depends where you want to sound like you are from.

I have family all over and it is kinda funny hearing them talk. I have a friend that is from texas but now lives here in Idaho and she still talks with a texan accent. It’s hard to write out how it sounds.

depends on what part of america. each state and region have different accents. like in the south we draw out words and say “ya’ll” when talking to a group of people or friends. but in the north, the words are edgier and instead of “ya’ll” it’s “yous guys”, they also put emphasis on different part of some words… so it all depends. my family is from new york, but I live in south carolina, so I have a little bit of both. my friends laugh at the way I say some words with a ny accent and my family can’t believe I say “ya’ll” hope I helped some

Just listen to cd’s or watch movies and practice the way they talk. I can talk with different accents just by hearing them.
