How can I dress gothic but casual?

Hi. I wear gothic clothes: long flowing velvet and lace etc for special occasions and going to gothic clubs. But I think it’s too much when just going shopping for example, I don’t want to dress up to just go round the shops or for a coffee with my girlfriends or just down the local pub,. I want to know what I should wear that is still recognisable as gothic but more casual. I still want to look smart aswell and even kinda trendy..If that makes sense. Please help! Thanks, Lorelli

I think you should be focusing more on what you want to wear, rather on what people will label you as. It’s silly to plan your wardrobe around a label! So choose clothes that you’re comfortable in. You can change your style with your mood if you like!
