My mom doesnt let me express myself the way I want. How do I get her to understand me?

well I dress and act a lil emo. I dont cut myself but I am depressed. I wear heavy eye make up, skinney jeans, and do my hair in odd ways; my mom says she thinks its ugly and otrys to buy me these girly clothes that I dont like.

Your mom probually wants to have her lil girl back or to her you could look soo much better. Just talk to her and say that when she was younger she expressed herself with their crazy styles and that you like how you luk and that its just a style.
